New Year New Me

The four words everyone will say, "New year new me." As cliche as it sounds and despite the many critics who despise this saying these four words carry a profound meaning. We've seen it before, the statuses and memes criticizing people who say the same thing every year. NEW YEAR NEW ME!! But never really change. Although one may not have changed the things they said they would who are others to judge? Those same criticizers have unmet goals in their lives they didn't reach that they too have set out for themselves.

You should never let the thoughts and actions of someone else deter you from your NEW YEAR NEW ME mentality. Those folks who have such negative things to say are just unhappy with their own inability to embrace change. They are stuck and stagnant in life. Life is about constant change. Change for the betterment of ourselves. As you embark next years journey go into 2014 with a spirit of expectation. Expect great things to happen starting with you first. Say to yourself NEW YEAR NEW AND ENHANCED ME!!! Everything that happened in 2013 I will not dwell on but use it as a learning tool for 2014. I've learned that those same people who talk negatively about me will send their praises my way whether done publicly or privately. Remember those criticizers who talk bad about you are the ones who are paying the most attention. Give them more to talk about, continue to grow and exceed their expectations. Wow them with your well doings and most of all kill them with kindness. Let your success do the talking.  At the end of the day their just secret fans who can't afford tickets to the show of your life!!!

She Got on What!

Mixing prints can be the ultimate daring challenge. Taking two or more things that kinda have the same color patterns and just throwing them together. It's super fun to just go in the closet and pair something's together that others wouldn't dare.
Remember don't over think it just go off of your first reaction when picking out your articles of clothing. You can not only mix prints but throw in some different textures as well.

*Seen on Fashion Bomb Daily*  This fashionista has on a mixed print dress. IT IS TO COMPLETLY DIE FOR. Super BOLD and DARING! Mixed prints is definitely one of the many trend of 2013 that I will definitely be caring over to 2014.
Picking out clothes is suppose to be fun. Don't be afraid to put on the unthinkable. Stand out never be afraid to be the topic of discussion.

Story of My Life

This picture PERFECTLY describes me
Lately I have really been digging deep within myself learning truly who I am. I'm learning to accept things about myself and embracing all of my flaws. I read a couple of days ago that your flaws are seen as perfect to the heart that is meant to love you. We can get so caught up in our flaws that we let them hinder our growth. You can never be the best you can be if you are always pointing out the things you hate about yourself. There are enough people in this world that will talk about you and point out the obvious of what's wrong, there's no need for you to do it to yourself. One of the best feelings is having that I don't care attitude about the things you onced disliked about yourself. I'm this I'm that but I don't care!!! When other people make fun of your flaws your response is I don't care. It's a free feeling accepting what  other people deem as wrong. YOU ARE AN INTRICATE WORK IN PROGRESS!!! You're not quite their yet but your well on your way besides let those haters be your motivators ;-)

Everyone But Me.....

Around the holidays you see it plastered everywhere. Open your Instagram, Facebook, and pretty much any other social media app there's  pictures of couples enjoying each other's company. The holiday season is full of love in the air. Seems like everyone but you has a significant other. Everyone but you has gifts to exchange with their "Boo thang". You sit their wondering where is my knight in shinning armor? Where is my Prince Charming? Why is it that everyone but me is in a relationship?

It's natural for you to feel a since of loneliness at some point because we are human but are you sulking in your loneliness? Are you having a pity party for yourself? You should never let that small feeling of loniliess make you feel any different about yourself. Sulking about your singleness doesn't bring you a man any sooner and it definitely doesn't get you that kiss under that mistletoe. Instead of sulking about being single embrace it. Being single is a great way to focus on yourself and figuring out what you want in life.

I know this for a fact because I know first hand of what it feels like to sulk about not being someone's girlfriend. I know even better the sense of self fulfillment I've gotten out of readjusting my life lenses and focusing on what I want. What can I possibly do for myself that'll push me further to my goals and aspirations. What is the next step in life I can take to elevate me higher than where I am already? It's nice to wake up in the morning thanking The Lord first and then thinking about what you can do to be better than you were yesterday.

Remember life is too short to be sad about temporary things. Man was not made to be alone. Your special someone is out there just be patient. Also everyone's relationship isn't what it seem. That couple you were looking at and saying awwww I wish I had that could be going through pretty hell. As you wait patiently for your significant other get to know yourself a little bit more. Don't just scratch the service but pull back those layers you have and dig deep. Do a self evaluation on yourself because you can't want what you don't already have. The heart that's made to love you will solely be a reflection of
yourself. So with that being said get yourself together as you WILLINGLY wait. FOCUS on God and He will place your heart in the hands of whomever is meant to love you.

Little Things Don't Go Unnoticed

Today I was shocked to see that one of  my pictures was featured on CurvyNStyle2. This really made my day because who would of thought that my style would have been displayed for thousands of their followers to see. This feature adds more fuel to my aspirations fire. My little work isn't going unnoticed and although at times I may feel like no one is paying attention they are. Remember hard work NEVER goes unnoticed. Keep doing what you're doing and remain humble because in the end the things we do aren't to get recognition but to inspire. What have you done today that has touched the life of someone else?

Being Appreciative

I just really  felt the need to really share this because it was on my heart. In life we can become so consumed with comparing ourselves to the next person. I can honestly say that I too have dealt with this. We get so engolfed in our dreams that we start to compare our success with another persons who share similar aspirations as us. We see what they are doing and become so interested in how they got where they got that we miss out on the bigger picture. Masterpieces are not made over night and in order to fully understand the greatness of a masterpiece we must first appreciate the sketch it once was. In life we must appreciate the grind and the hustle. We must respect the hard work we put in our dreams and enjoy the process. It's like we see where we wanna go and the heights we wanna reach but wanna skip the journey and go straight to the destination. I'm learning not to just hop from mountain top to mountain top but become excited about going through the valley to get to the next mountain for in the valley is were true growth occurs. In this life we live we only can live it once so truly enjoy every year, month, week, day, hour, minute and second. Embrace your process. When you reach your goals and aspirations you wanna have a story to tell about your journey to success. Rememner without no struggles there's no progress.

Attack of the Camouflage

Camouflage just isn't  for the armed forces anymore!! Nor the hunters, this hip trendy print is showing up everywhere. My camouflage pants are defiantly one of my favorite pieces in my closet. The amount of outfits they can be used for are endless.
