Summer Summer Summer Time

Lets first start off by saying that Forever21 is giving me everything I need for the summer!!!

These retro high waist bottom swimsuits are making me beg the Lord for warmer weather!!! I'm an habitual Forever21 shopper and I'm super excited about these new pastel colors they've added to their swimsuit collection.

What's not to fall in love with? The prints are amazing! The matching of tops and bottoms are endless. Once I get a hold of these bathing suits I vowe to never let go!!

Although these bathing suites look extra yummy the real question is just how supportive they are. As a thicker chick I need support!!! I will be hunting these bad boys down and trying them out soon!

Fashion..Life & the Unspeakable

Geeesh it seems like every day there's a new struggle. I've never been this emotional ever in my life. Senior year has had me on this crazy roller coaster of emotions. From post graduation plans, the fear of failing, and balancing a life outside of school as well as school work. On top of working a new job!! Sometimes I wish I could just pause life and take a step back to try and figure things out.

I keep telling myself that this is the season of grinding. I am laying the foundation for the rest of my life. Everything takes time and Rome wasn't built in a day. I can't constantly look at other peoples portions and compare them to mines. What God has for me is for me. In the process of building my own empire I often get confused because I don't know where to start. I have so many ideas that I try to do them all to the point where nothing seems to get done. With so many things going on and constantly thinking where to start I often look at others. Today I saw one of the realist quotes that spoke to me and put things into a very clear perspective.

"Simply be yourself! People will gravitate to you and your work more if you're genuine. Show who you are your personality.  When you try to mimic the actions/behavior of others you get lost because they've seen that before"
~Monique Robinson~

Step one to starting anything is going into it simply being you! Doing what you wanna do regardless of the others. Geniuiness goes a long way, much farther then any mimicker. By doing everything from the heart you can't do any wrong. I'm learning daily to do what makes me happy and that's talking about fashion, life, and the unspeakable.

London Bridges

Listen, you couldn't tell me I wasn't a London guard this day!!!

I don't know why I was feeling so London-ish, maybe it was the fur vest or my red plaid printed pleated skirt.

But I was guarding something that day YOU HEAR ME?!?!?! I will admit I was kinda feeling myself in my thrifted skirt which actually came with a matching shirt but I decided to break the two pieces up. This two piece cost me $1.99.

My day couldn't have been complete without the infamous bathroom selfie!

Fergie song "LondonBridges" played in my head all that day.
How come every time you come around, my London London bridge wanna fall down?

Bum Chronicles: Lazy Days

Some days I just don't feel like getting dressed. Here are some of my bummy looks. What I like to call the Bum Chronicales of CarrieSierra

My go to pieces for a day like this would definitely be
1. Mom jeans
2.Shirt to tie around the waist
3. Any form of comfy T-shirt or sweat shirt
These are just my go to items. I like to build my outfit starting with the bottoms. So depending on how I feel will determine whether I want to wear jeans or some sort of skirt. Then I go on to the top, shoes, and jacket. The waist accessory is always added last. I grab what ever shirt that jumps out at me to tie around my waist. The waist accessory gives the outfit extra flair.

Here I am in just a Tshirt which I grabbed off of clearance for five bucks, some leggings, brown boots, and a button up shirt which I tied around the waist. I decided to add a scarf around my head for a little extra umph.
I wish I had a full picture so you could see everything but this is the simplest of them all. I just have on a simple Tshirt which I made into a crop top, some dark denims high wait mom jeans, and some simple converses.

Whether you're decked out from head to toe or in comfy casual clothing your outfit will always speak volumes. You can be stylish and comfy on days you just don't feel like getting dressed. Have fun with it I've learned that the BEST outfits are the ones you just throw together!

Crushed Velvet

Who said thrifting couldn't look chic?
This long sleeve  all black velvet dress is absolutely stunning. Who would have thought that it ONLY COST ME $1.99!! Bargains like these make me fall in love with thrifting all over again.
This dress is definitely a statement piece. Paired it with a favorite pair of booties, a simple black clutch and a pearl necklace. What's not to love about it?
I was definitely feeling myself
This Valentines Day booless and all!
Maybe it was my Olivia Pope inspired pea coat, this coat is every bit of AMAZING! I am a form believer of bargain shopping. This black pea coat came from Rainbow, YES RAINBOW. Doesn't look like it right? This is proof that you can rock anything from anywhere without looking cheap and tasteless. Fashion is fun and can also be cheap if you're looking in the right places!!
